I honestly don’t know how to share all of the memories I have of David. He is my dearest friend’s husband, my children’s second set of parents and lovingly family friends! Our children grew up together and as they left the nest( they never left really) they loved their Uncle David and Aunt Darcie and still do!!!! I love hearing stories of their memories of Uncle David even when they were in trouble! David and Darcie love our children as much as we love their children. We have lived through grief and they were there for us and we want to be there for them. Our dearest Darcie we are here 

Harry and I attended Faith Bible Church in the late 90s. At the time, Pastor Roth was preaching verse by verse through Romans, and I still remember some of those sermons. I also remember when we went on the mission trip to Jamaica -- although we were only gone for about a week, Pastor Roth really missed his family, and I was struck by how much he loved them and the priority they were in his life. Darcie and family -- my deepest sympathies to you in navigating life on earth without David -- I hope there is some comfort in knowing he'll have a freezer full of deer waiting for you in Paradise some day.

I met David when I was 13.  He was the youth pastor at the church my family attended.  On Sunday mornings I was there under duress! Boy was I one rebellious teenager and boy was I mean to David.  I really gave him some training in dealing with unruly rebellious teens!  David always treated me with love and kindness and never gave up on me!  He put up with me for 2 years being such a 
Brat!  Finally I got saved!  David had a lot to do with that!  I learned about the love of Christ and his forgiveness because of David!  I think he was more excited than some of the angels when I finally got saved. We later became friends!  I can never thank him enough for being so patient and kind.  Thank you Jesus for allowing me the privilege to meet this wonderful man of God I will cherish the memories!  Until we meet again my friend!

From teenagers to 60, this life has had it's ups and downs but David always kept his faith in the Lord. I will never forget the church trips we all went on in our teen years. Great memories.  You will be greatly missed. To Darcie, Joshua, Jonathan, Jacob, Jordan, Jessica, Gary,  your grandchildren your extended family and church family, my deepest condolences go out to you. Praying for all of you.

He was such a nice person!!  I have so many memories of going to church with Nancy and seeing Pastor David and Darcy.  He gave me my first real bible with my name engraved on it.  I still have it.  Wonderful faith and a beautiful family.  God has gained a great man!!  Love to all the family. 

So many “precious memories” going back over 38 years! The church league softball games! 
( some turning violent, Lol), Starting a new Church in our living room with about eight of us! The youth trip to Peaks of Otter…..so many others…. 
Hard for us to think about Pastor David Roth not being with us…, but then again ,he is with us … he always will be.We look forward to that wonderful reunion awaiting one day…
we have a lot to talk about.

Not only was David one of the two Pastor's Colleen and I had at Faith Bible Church, he was a great friend. We shared the love of hunting White Tailed deer. David shared some of his hunting spots with me up on the Eastern shore. We hunted a few times together and they were special times that I have often reflected back on over the years. Though my heart is broken for Darci and the children and grandchildren, I know there will be a great reunion when we will spend eternity with our Lord and Savior. I remember one such hunt where after hunting on the Eastern shore we went to the hunt club that Gary belonged to. Gary gave me assorted cuts of venison that I packed in a cooler to take home. I forgot to get a note from Gary saying that he had given me the venison. When I got to the Bay Bridge to pay the toll, the Game Warden's stopped me and asked if I had been hunting. After I had acknowledged that I had, they asked if I had been successful, I replied, No. They then asked if they could search the back of my truck, I had forgotten all about the venison in the coolers. The warden's then asked me why I had venison in the back if I had not been successful. I looked up and David was just being released by the other wardens, I said "Stop that guy right there, he is my alibi"  If it was not for David vouching for me I would have been charged with poaching. Thank you Dave. 

David’s Faith is now sight .  We send our deepest sympathy to the Roth family at this tender time.  May God comfort and bless you.

I will never forget the way David showed his love for us when we invaded your already full home for three weeks... Aunt Doris, mom, daddy, me.. All just hanging out waiting for doctors visits. We stepped over oxygen tanks, walkers, and "Puddles" . Although he joked about when we would leave, there was never doubt we were welcome for as long as we needed. And while there I learned how to grill Summer Sausage w/bbq sauce... Still make it! Sometime you don't see the blessings in things until years later... That time was a blessing to be able to spend it with family and truly get to know David on a different level. All my thoughts, prayers and love are with you ALWAYS.  

Darcie, our thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family! So glad you had 40 wonderful years together. Love to you all!
