Elizabeth Marie Bowles

Mrs. Bowles was born on February 11, 1932 and was preceded in death by her husband Eugene V. Bowles, Sr. She was an avid reader and was recognized by the American Quilter Magazine as a master quilter and tailor. She was a former member of First View Baptist Church and was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include seven children, Marie Sims, Eugene V. Bowles, Jr., Charlene R. Hunter, Bruce N. Bowles, Jerry B. Wilson, Jo Ann Robbins and Sandra L. Thompson, eighteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren, a sister Patsy Cartwright, a brother Bevo Parsons and a friend and brother-in-law Gary Weatherford.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel where a celebration of Mrs. Bowles life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013, 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
