Florence Virginia Wright, 86, went to meet her Lord Jesus on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017. She was born to the late Elmer and Mary Elizabeth Burroughs in Virginia. She was a dedicated Coast Guard wife of 62 years, traveled extensively, bowled, and loved spending time on the water with her family.
Flo was predeceased by her granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Scott; sisters, Louemma Gladden and Ann Hackett.
Flo is survived by her loving husband, Bill; faithful companion, Lilly; children, Edward Lewis, Sandra Scott, Larry W. Wright (Johanna), Royce L. Wright (Susan), and Sherry L. Rodax; nieces, Ann Sayers and Betsy Rowe.
She was a cherished Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017, 1PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Red Cross. Condolences may be left at www.woodlawngroup.com
