Frances Scott Grimstead

Frances Yvonne Scott Grimstead was called to be with the lord on December 12, 2022 at Chesapeake Regional Hospital in Chesapeake, VA. Frances Grimstead was 79 years old. France’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. Frances was born August 24, 1943, in Halifax, North Carolina to the late Olivia Baggett and William Scott. She was a loving and gracious mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. Frances was a talented knitter, an avid doll collector, and a hard-working woman. She spend her life supporting her family and she enjoyed the many years she spent preserving memories while working for LifeTouch. When she wasn’t spending time with her family, Frances was dedicated to spoiling her fur babies, Angel and Bella. Frances’ devotion to everyone she loved was arguably the most important achievement in her life. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Joyce (Kevin) Wood, Nancy Keeney, Victor (Cindy) Jantti, Jr., and Francis (Phyllis) Jantti; her younger siblings, Richard (Karen) Baggett and Johnny Baggett; her grandchildren, Janet Van Effen, Jennifer Thomas, Garry (Britanie) Thomas, Michael Thomas, Brandi (Matt) Quigley, Timothy Puckett, Kimberly Jantti, Bryan Jantti, Cody Jantti, Crystal Jantti, Frank Jantti, Jr., and Marie Jantti and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Frances is predeceased by her husband, Albert Earl Grimstead and her siblings, James Scott and Christine Scott Harbison.
