
Virginia Beach ~ Jacob E. Brammer, Jr., 76, of Virginia Beach, passed away in his home Wednesday, March 12, 2008 surrounded by his family. Born in Muncie, IN April 12, 1931 to Jacob E. Brammer, Sr. and Mildred Leota McAuley Brammer. He was a graduate of Muncie Central High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was retired from the Virginia Beach Fire Dept. as Chief Fire Marshall. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, John E. Brammer. Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Barbara Perkins Brammer; son, Steven Alan Brammer and wife, Debbie; daughter, Sherryl Ann White and husband, Fred; two grandsons, Gary (Buddy) Daily, Jr. and wife, Megan of Salem, Va. and Christopher Dillback and wife, Kari of Evansville, IN; granddaughters, Stephanie Brammer and Candice Brammer of Virginia Beach; great-granddaughters, Lydia Dillback and Mariah Dillback, and great-grandson, Nolan Jacob Dillback all of Evansville, IN; two brothers, Richard Brammer of Delphi, IN and David Brammer of Kokomo, IN; and sister, Sharon Briggs of Lake Havasu, AZ. A celebration of Jacob's life will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2008 in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., with Pastor Roger Gauthier officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-9:00 PM Friday, March 14 in the funeral home.
