Born in North Carolina and a longtime resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Joan and her late husband, Edward, eventually settled in the serene mountains of West Virginia, where she found her final rest. Throughout her career, Joan made her mark in the banking industry and excelled as an award-winning realtor in Keyser, West Virginia, for over a decade. An avid athlete in her youth, she cherished playing basketball and maintained leisurely interests in gardening and weekend reading throughout adulthood. Joan's enduring legacy includes a steadfast work ethic, unwavering determination, and a quietly resilient spirit instilled in her descendants.
