VIRGINIA BEACH Joan Connelly of the 700 block of Hemlock Crescent passed away November 27, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. She was a native of Dover, New Jersey as well as a graduate of Dover High and Catherine Gibbs School of Business. Joan was a wife and Homemaker who loved to travel, especially taking cruises with her family and friends.
Mrs. Connelly was predeceased by her parents Marion and John Rages. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband John J. Connelly, Jr.; her daughters Carolyn Tetterton, Kathleen VanNostrand, Karin Connelly and Diane Robinson; sisters Judith (Ronald) Savitz and Janet (William) Farrelly; special aunt Dot Markle; grandchildren Raymond, Steven, Shannon and Kyle; great grandchildren Devan, Piper, Lucas, Ethan, Jacob and Emily and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 2, from 6-8 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A service will be held Thursday December 3, at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Condolences may be offered to the family on-line at www.woodlawngroup.com.
