John Erick Corbett, 90, passed away on December 28, 2018. Born in Wilson NC, he was the son of the late William and Hortense Corbett. He is predeceased by his wife Margaret Corbett and his brother William Corbett.
John attended Avalon Church of Christ and was a member of the Mason’s of Kempsville Lodge. He enjoyed taking care of his pets, playing the organ, cooking and was a loving and devoted father to his children. John leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Christine Claus and husband Butch Claus and one son, Christopher Corbett. They will treasure many fond memories as he goes to rest with the Lord.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 3, 12 pm-1 pm, Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. A chapel funeral service will follow at Woodlawn. Online condolences may be offered at www.woodlawngroup.com.
