She is survived by her husband, Marvin Bagent to whom she was married for 53 years this June. She is also survived by her son, Jeff Bagent and wife Camille of Kernersville, NC; grandchildren Drue Bagent, Loren Gutierrez and husband Daniel, and Tyler Bagent; her daughter, Jennifer Boren and husband Phil of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren Kailey Anderson and husband Shea, and Cohen Boren; sister Joy Dunson and husband Russell of Woodstock, GA; sister Candy Grefenstette and husband Bill of Sterling, VA; sister-in-law Joyce Price of Camden, NC; and nine nieces and nephews, along with their spouses and children.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Hamilton. Judy and Marvin ministered together, pastoring Ocean Park Baptist Church and operating Anchor Christian School for 42 years. She taught numerous children sound academics and shared with them the love of God.
She devoted her life to her family and always gave selflessly and sacrificially to others, living out II Corinthians 9:7, which says that “God loves a cheerful giver.” Her grandchildren were truly her pride and joy and there was nothing she would not do for those she loved. We take comfort in knowing that as she entered heaven she undoubtedly heard “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Per Judy’s request, the family will hold a private graveside service on July 22, 2022.
