On April 24th, 2022, Judith C. "Judy Zyck" Denson left this Earth through the gates of heaven. She was born on September 18, 1947 to the late George (Matt) and Norma Irene (Brust) Zyck in Albany, NY. She is predeceased by her “Honey Bear”, Donald L. Denson Sr.
She is survived by her two sons, Donald L. Denson, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; and Kevin M. Denson (Holly) of Brandon, Mississippi. Judy, fondly known as "mawmaw" is survived by seven grandchildren, Whitney Taylor, Colleen Elizabeth, Donald Lee III, Samantha Mae, Breanna Leigh, Zoey Camille, and Kadence Grace; her sister, Joanne Delanoy (Keith) of Binghamton NY; and sister in-law, Joanne Brandt (Ron) of Topeka, Kansas; her aunt, Beryl Krogh of Troy, NY; Joe and Vernon Denson of Virginia Beach, VA; her special nephew, Jason Delanoy of Binghamton NY; and cousins.
Judy was a 1965 graduate of Chenango Valley High School in Binghamton NY. Her favorite times were spending many many hours enjoying her grandchildren, crafting with her friends and selling her crafts with her friend Buffie Blauvelt.
A visitation for Judith will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502. A celebration of life will occur Monday, May 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
