Chesapeake Mr. Marion Gary Dennis, 84, passed away on Thursday, October 06, 2011 at Chesapeake General Hospital. He was a member of the Kingston Parrish Episcopal Church in Matthews, Va. Gary was a Marine in the Korean Conflict, and an Engineer with NASA for over 30 years during the early years of Satellite Communication through the shuttle program. He loved sailing and volunteered with the United States Coast Guard Auxillary in retirement. He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years Franklin Harrison Dennis. He is survived by two daughters; Elizabeth Dennis Lyons of Alexandria, Va. and Barbara Dennis Spring and her husband, Thomas, of Chesapeake, Va. One son, Brian Harrison Dennis and his wife, Debbie, of Chesapeake, Va. Also two grandchildren, Elise Dennis and Kathleen Dennis. A graveside service for Mr. Marion Gary Dennis will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
