Monli Chao “Mona” Wallace, 78, passed away 9pm, October 26, 2023 at Sentara Leigh Hospital where she went to meet her Heavenly Creator after privately fighting cancer for over three years at Georgetown University Hospital and recently Sentara Brock Cancer Center. Monli prioritized her life taking care of her family. She was an outstanding chef and would cook for various social events. Monli leaves behind her husband, Alfred Ambrose Wallace, III (LCR, USN Ret.), of over 47 years of marriage having met on the Island of Guam, and married in Dunoon, Scotland. She leaves behind her daughter, Melody May and sister, Bay-Bay in Taiwan.
There will be a visitation from 4-8pm, Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. Please offer your condolences to the family during this difficult time on our funeral home website.
