Gia, 

I want to say thank you. Thank you, for playing the role as a mother to me, Jordan, and Ricky when my mom and dad were going through their divorce. You took us all in without hesitation and made sure we had a room, home cooked meals every night, made sure we were always okay, and tried your hardest to make sure we were always taken care of. You were our doctor. Anytime we were hurt or sick you would always medicate us with your ginger ale and saltine crackers or your witch hazel.

I just want to share a few memories that have really been heavy on my mind lately...

I remember it was around Christmas time and you and Pepa gave us money to go get dad a Christmas gift. You literally walked around the store for an hour waiting for us to pick the "perfect" gift for dad. I picked out a flash light. You later brought us back to your house to wrap them. 

I remember it was my Birthday and you and Pepa were taking me to dinner and you guys surprised me with Red Lobster (my favorite restaurant). I had no idea where we were going until we got there. That is one of the best birthday's that I will never forget. 

I remember every thanksgiving we would go to your house and all of the grandchildren would play girls against boys, tag, race, tag football, or hide and go seek around the neighborhood. We were always making up games and it would always be at your house. 

I remember on the Cruise me and you sat alone talking and then the magician came out and guessed our ages right and put on our own private show at the table. We were stunned by how good he was. I must admit, it was a bit spooky. I still have the magic card that he gave me. 

I remember we had a tropical thunderstorm and at the time we were living with you. The power went out. You had lit up some candles and somehow, I got my hair in the lit candle. You kept calling me Michael Jackson and laughing. lol.

You used to love when I scratched your back. I would sit for thirty-minuets just scratching it for you. It never bothered me. 

I'll be here forever talking about memories that we've had. There was never a dull moment and I am so lucky to be able to share these times with you.

I really cannot believe you are gone. At first it did not feel real and now it's starting to hit me. I feel so hurt and broken, but finally you can breathe easy again. Finally, you feel nothing but joy and happiness. Finally, you are reunited with your lost loved ones. & Finally, you are home and were you are meant to be. Keep shinning down on us and I will keep your spirit alive for Ryan to always remember the kind of person you were.

One of the most beautiful, loving, amazing people I have ever had the honor or knowing. I am the luckiest girl in the world having been a part of her life. Love you Mom.
