Robert "Bob" Lee Klante

Bob was born on April 26, 1930, in Villa Park, IL. He proudly served our country, including five years in the Coast Guard, followed by over 50 years of service with the U.S. government. After retiring, he worked as a school bus driver for Virginia Beach City Public Schools.

Bob was united in marriage to his wife, Audrey, and together they raised two children, including their daughter Kathleen Marie, who passed away at a young age.

He enjoyed bowling, traveling, spending time outdoors, and watching sports. Above all, Bob loved being with his family. He had a quiet strength and a steady presence that meant so much to those around him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Marie (née Kriz) Klante; his wife, Audrey (née Nelligar); two sisters; one brother; and his daughter, Kathleen Marie.

He is survived by his daughter, Roberta (John); his son, Stephen; his grandson, Jonathan; his great-grandchildren, Nate and Zoey; as well as extended family and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Discovery Church, 4881 Euclid Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
