He served 3 years in the U.S. Army Aircorp 1945-1948. He was a manager at the Ford Motor Co. in Norfolk for 32 years. He leaves behind his wife of 73 years, Barbara, a daughter Linda Newell & her son John Newell, Jr., a son, Chester (wife Vivian) & their son Robert (Bobby), daughter Cheri, and 6 great grandchildren.
