Shirley Ann Alexander, 76, passed away peacefully in Lady Lake, FL and joined the angels in Heaven on November 27, 2015. Shirley was born December 28, 1938 in Bentley, PA to the late Raymond and Virginia King. She was preceded by her loving husband Erman. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend that was full of patience, compassion, kindness and had a great love for life.
Left to cherish her memory are her 6 children; Charles (Nicola), Christina (Jimmy), Corinne, Cherie, Cynthia (Freddy) and Craig (Sherry), 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 7 brothers and sisters and many other loving family members and friends.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8 PM for the visitation. Shirley will then be reunited with her husband at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.
