Shirley Maynard Cressman, 90, wife of the late Frederick Ward Cressman, Jr. and a resident of Virginia Beach, VA, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 10, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Hiram Maynard and the late Pearl Townsend Maynard. She was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach, member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She served in the Coast Guard for 4 years.
Survivors include her son, Frederick W. Cressman III (Diane) of Collierville, TN; a daughter, Belinda Capots (Danny) of Virginia Beach, VA; three grandchildren, Jeremy Capots, Kyle Cressman, Erin Bakken and one great-granddaughter, Ellison Bakken.
Funeral Services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach, Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502 on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
Family will join friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
