Shirley “Barbara” Gembitsky, 80, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2016. She was born in Lynn, MA to the late Leo and Dorothy Morrison. Barbara was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending her time reading, completing crossword puzzles and shopping. Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jacob S. Gembitsky; son-in-law, Joseph DelDonna; sisters, Marnie Cole and Dottie Dooley and brothers, Leo, Richie and Billy Morrison.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Stephanie Valcourt (Lenny), Barbara DelDonna, Elizabeth Williams and Judy St. Pierre; sons, Michael Gembitsky (Barbara) and Steven Gembitsky as well as 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 10-11 followed by a funeral service at 11. After the burial, the family will welcome friends to gather for a reception.
