Vickie Michelle Carter

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vickie Michelle Carter, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, who left us on December 25, 2024, at the age of 66. Vickie was born on February 15, 1958, at DePaul Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Carmine and Nancye Petretto. She spent her life dedicated to those she loved, with a warm heart and a kind spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Vickie had a vibrant personality, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a moment of laughter. She was known for her generosity, infectious smile, and unyielding love for her family and friends. She embraced each day with optimism and strength, and her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

Vickie is survived by her husband Scott Carter, her brother Danny Petretto and her three children Linzey Conaway, Kendall Drye, and Micheal (Tom) Price. Along with her grandchildren Skylar, Jordyn, Castan, and Harper. She was preceded in death by David Petretto, and Robin Wesley.

A celebration of Vickie’s life will be held on January 8, 2025 at Woodlawn Cemetery at 2:00pm.

Though she is no longer with us, Vickie’s love and light will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
