Virginia "Ginger" "Ginny" Butler Miltier

Virginia “Ginger” “Ginny” Butler Miltier, 77, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Ginny was born in Bakersfield, CA to the late William and Ella Mae Butler. She worked in the Portsmouth School system as a Teacher’s Aide and was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Chesapeake, VA. Ginger was a woman of strong and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Her favorite past time was rocking on her front porch with the love of her life and waving at her neighbors, friends and passers – by. Ginger was preceded in death by her sister, Holly Butler, brothers: Johnny and William Butler and grandson in law, Brandon Grendze.

Left to cherish Ginny’s memory are, her loving husband of 59 years, Rosser “Happy” Miltier, daughter, Deborah Redmon, sons: William (Bonnie), Ronald (Lori) and Philip (Cindy), sister, Rose Furtick (Artie), 12 grandchildren: Heather Grendze, Ashley Scruggs, Kimberly Redmon, Daniel Scruggs, Tiffney Poland (Gerald), Kenny Page (Crystal), Billy Page, Josh Miltier (Mendy), Katie Hunter (Jeremy), Jeremy Miltier (Alyssa), Shawna Murray and Jeremy Murray (Tia), 14 great grandchildren: Adrienne Coward, Makayla Murray, Brandon Poland, Dylan Poland, Braeylan Greene, Karter Greene, Alyjah Greene, Liam Page, Carson Page, Trevor Page, Hadley-Ann Hunter, Dustin Hunter, Aiden Miltier and Mia Miltier and many other loving family members and friends.

Ginger’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, August, 21, 2018 at 11 AM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502. Her visitation will be held, Monday evening from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Please visit www.woodlawngroup.com to share a memory with the family.
