Virginia Louise Smith

Virginia L. Smith, 76, passed away on November 14, 2020. She was born in Virginia to the late James and Willie Fields. Virginia was a kind, and loving woman who was dedicated to her family and friends. She possessed an inner strength and an abiding love for God. She would often put aside her own needs for the happiness and well being of others. She greatly enjoyed her family and loved cooking for them, especially for the holidays. Among her greatest pleasures were her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved dearly. Virginia was predeceased by her husband Sidney who was truly the love of her life, a wonderful son, Michael and her two brothers, Frank and Henry “Bubba” Fields. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Linda, Debra, and Lisa all of Norfolk, VA and Juanita of Bealeton, VA; three sisters, Rosalean of Washington, DC, Ruth of Richmond, VA, and Queen of Emporia, VA; two grandchildren, Ricky and BJ; and two great grandchildren, Zoe, and Isabella. She will also be remembered and missed by friends who have known the joy of experiencing her love and laughter.
