David was one of a kind, sharp witted and always sure of himself. He worked for many years as an automotive mechanic at Hunger’s Servicenter, a trade passed down from his father. He, in turn, passed it on to his own son—and now, a fourth generation, his grandson, is proudly pursuing the same path. There was nothing David couldn’t fix.
He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and was a longtime member of the Waverly Youth Hunting Club. His humor was unmatched—he could make anyone laugh. But above all, David loved his family. Whether it was playing with his grandkids, spending time with his sons, or following their journeys online, family was everything to him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 27 years, Kathy B. Hunger; his two sons, Jeremy Hunger and wife Susanna, and Cory Hunger and wife Brooke; five grandchildren: Shelby, David, Hayden, Brody, and Raegan; a brother Jon F. Hunger and sister Kathy A. Hunger along with a host of extended family and friends.
Dad,
We’ll keep having adventures—as long as you keep watching.
