

Yolanda Garrison, 68, died Friday April 13, 2018, at home in Chesapeake surrounded by family. She was the daughter of Caridad and William Mathews of Norfolk. She was born in the Philippines and called many places her home, but spent the last 35+ years in Hampton Roads.
Yolanda was very athletic in her youth. She played tennis, basketball and was a cheerleader in high school. She worked as a keypunch operator for Toyota in her earlier years and as she became a mother, worked around raising her children. She liked making people smile as she worked as a portrait photographer before taking her retirement.
Yolanda loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking and taking care of everyone around her. Yolanda was a social butterfly, she liked to spend time with her friends at the Moose Lodge and Red Hat Society. During NFL season, you would find her in her Redskins gear, proudly proclaiming her fan status to all.
Yolanda will be held in loving memory by her husband Charles, her father William, her brothers John Mathews and his wife Anabel, Joseph Mathews and his wife Janet, her children Alice Bouthillette and her husband Michael, Alex Garrison, Edward Garrison, and her grand children Samantha, Andrew, Kaili and Kaitlynn
She is predeceased by her mother and her daughter Patricia Lowe.
