Frances was born on February 4, 1929 in Calvin, OK to Earl and Charline Myers.
Frances would graduate high school from Cushing High School as valedictorian. After high school, Frances would go on to nursing school.
While in nursing school she met the love of her life, Bernard D. Jansing, she would leave nursing school to start her family. The couple had four boys together. Frances would eventually return to nursing school where she earned her Bachelor and then Master degree in nursing, she was one of the first to complete the Master’s program.
Frances spent most of her nursing career working at Central State, where she would ultimately retire from to care for her mother.
Frances enjoyed traveling with her husband and she was known for all of her culinary creations, except for her coffee. She loved to cook and can food, whether it was from pleasure or of necessity, she was always whipping up something new in the kitchen for her family.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers: Lester and Mack Myers.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her sons: Bernard “Ben” and his wife Janice Jansing, George and his wife Janice Jansing, Jon and his wife Gloria Jansing, and Greg Jansing, grandchildren: Amanda and her husband Joe Falcon, Mathew and his wife Amber Jansing, Diana and her husband Dustin Johnson, Jason and his wife Brianna Jansing, Gayle VanTrease, Laura and her husband Victor Teran, Alicia and her husband Tony Rios, Michael and his wife Cassandra Jansing, Jenny and her husband Brian Back, and Jared and his wife Beth Jansing, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and another on the way.
The family would like to thank the staff of Arbor House Reminisce for all of their patience, kindness, and care for Frances over the years she resided there.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 18, 2020 12:00PM – 4:00PM at Primrose Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 19, 2020 10:00AM
