Bernard Detrick Jansing

He was born February 18, 1925 in Norman to Ben and Lena (Hoeffelter) Jansing. On February 17, 1951 he married Frances Myers at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Bernard owned and operated Palace Auto Supply for over 50 years inheriting it from his father at the age of 21. He was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved to wood work but above all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of almost 65years Frances of Norman; sons: Ben (Jan) Jansing of Norman, George (Janice) Jansing of Norman, Jon (Gloria) Jansing of Norman, Gregory Jansing of Norman; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be from 4 until 6 pm Friday February 12, 2016 at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 N. Porter Ave. Norman, OK. A wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Primrose Funeral Service. The Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 13, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
