

Brian Alan McNeely, 61, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, following a lengthy illness. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and veteran, Brian will be remembered for his brilliant mind, dedication to service, and unwavering integrity.
Born on July 13, 1964, in Columbus, Kansas, Brian was the son of Gerald and Joyce McNeely. From an early age, he demonstrated a keen intellect and curiosity—traits that would serve him well throughout his life.
Brian and Linda (Parrigon) were united in Holy Matrimony in 1989, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, Missouri, and shortly after, he joined the Air Force and later the Air National Guard, experiences that instilled in him a lasting sense of service, discipline, and patriotism.
Brian earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Oklahoma, achievements that reflected his commitment to education and the law.
A longtime member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, he worked for 25 years as a Land Man, researching title for oil and gas mineral rights through brokers for petroleum and gas exploration companies. Later, he transitioned to public service, holding positions with the Bureau of Land Management in Sacramento, California, the Department of Agriculture in Raleigh, North Carolina and most recently, the National Park Service in Omaha, Nebraska, from which he retired.
A meticulous researcher and consummate professional, Brian approached every task with precision and purpose. He was always willing to help-out anyone who asked, whether is be title questions for oil and gas exploration or help changing a tire. Beyond his career, he also cherished time spent traveling with his wife, Linda, especially along the nation’s shorelines. He treasured time spent with his family and friends. His hobbies included collecting coins and other treasures. A lifelong enthusiast of cars, motorcycles, and the University of Oklahoma Sooners.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Linda McNeely; his children, Matthew, and Ashley McNeely (Kyle Graham); and grandson Keaton. His siblings, Thomas McNeely, and Hugh McNeely (Rosa) of North Richland Hills Texas, and Tammy Bunce (Tom) of Miami, Oklahoma, Mother- in- law Caroline Parrigon of Pierce City Missouri, brother and sisters in law Chris and Frieda James, Brenda and Marty Kennedy, Jimmy and Debbie Parrigon, Sandy and Steve West and Joe and Sara Parrigon and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Joyce. Also, his Father- in law James Parrigon.
Brian’s Catholic faith guided him throughout his life, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 6 PM at Primrose Funeral Service, located at 3901 N Flood Ave., Norman, OK, 73069. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 421 E Acres St., Norman, OK, 73071. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, located 1913 N Porter Ave., Norman, OK, 73071.
