Celia May Brown

She was born December 10, 1933 in Norman to Theodore Roosevelt and Opal Bell (Wilson) Toney. She married Wiley Lewis Brown in 1953 and they spent 50 years together.

Celia grew up and attended school in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Paseo High School where she was on the synchronized swimming team. After graduation she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City, Missouri for two years. After moving to Norman she worked for 45years at Security National Bank which later became Arvest Bank. She did volunteer work at Norman Regional Hospital until her health prevented her from working. She had many friends from work as well as from Westside Church of Christ where she attended. Among those friends she gained a lifelong friend of Ellie Royal for over 65years.

Survivors include her children: Randy Lewis Brown and wife Robin, Janice Ann Maddox and husband Dennis; grandchildren: Chandra Davis and husband Justin, Candace Dragg and husband Chris, Andrew Brown, Ben Brown; great grandchildren: Taylor Adkins, Joscelyn Harper, Greyson Dragg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister: Sara Graves and baby brother Toney in infancy.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday October 11, 2015 at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 N. Porter Ave. Norman, OK. Visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday October 12, 2015 at Primrose Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 13, 2015 at Primrose Funeral Service. Interment will be at Norman I.O.O.F.
