

Edith F. Martin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by family and love. She was born on August 28, 1938, in Allen, Oklahoma, to Jack Paul Raney and Opal Ferguson.
Edith grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Gerty High School. She spent her life in service to her family and community, living in several towns across the state including Allen, Ada, Pauls Valley, and most recently Norman. She was a dedicated and hard-working woman, known for her talents as an accomplished seamstress and for her unwavering love for her family.
On August 29, 1959, she married the love of her life, Harold J. Martin. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and deep devotion to one another. Edith was a faithful member of the Westside Church of Christ, where her kindness and quiet strength touched many.
Edith had a fierce love for her family. Her happiest days were spent watching her grandsons grow up and, in recent years, being in the presence of her great-grandchildren, Gavi and Bexley, whose joy and laughter brought her endless delight. From them, she was reminded daily to never give up, a spirit she embodied all her life.
She found beauty in simple things, her favorite country music playing in the background, and the presence of loved ones nearby. Those who knew Edith will remember her as a woman of deep love, enduring strength, and steadfast faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Martin; her brother Paul Raney and spouse, Diane; her sister Reatha Parker and spouse, Joe; her great-granddaughter Sadie Paulk; and her parents.
Edith is survived by her loving daughter, Lori Lynn Paulk and husband Robert Paulk II of Norman, Oklahoma; her cherished grandchildren Bobby Paulk III and wife Maddie, and Riley Paulk; and her adored great-grandchildren Gavi and Bexley Paulk.
Her legacy is one of hard work, deep faith, and boundless love for her family. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
A funeral service for Edith will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071.
