

Mass of Christian Burial for George Lawrence Jansing, Jr., 85 of Norman, will be 10:30AM Wednesday, January 11 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Menasco as Celebrant. Burial will follow St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A prayer service for Mr. Jansing will be held 6:30 PM Tuesday, January 10 at the Primrose Chapel.
He died at his home in Norman on January 7, 2012.
Mr. Jansing was born April 13, 1926, to George Lawrence Jansing, Sr. and Ella Nora (Higdon) Jansing in Norman. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mr. Jansing is survived by his daughter, Barbara Jansing Galarneau and her husband, Howard of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Adeline Jansing Meiser of Norman, Agatha Jansing Schader of Norman; Katherine Jansing LeBlanc and her husband, Robert of Tulsa; two grandchildren, Jonathan Christopher Galarneau of San Antonio, Gregory Thomas Galarneau of Kileen, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Welsey Cook, Lilly Galarneau, Ellie Galarneau and Greg Thomas Galarneau, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jansing was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances Lucille (Grill) Jansing; brother and sister-in-law, James and Lois Jansing; brothers-in-law, Bernard Meiser and Edward Schader, Sr.
