

He was born July 17, 1935 to Cynthia and Herbert Nickell, Sr. in Porum, Ok. He graduated from Muskogee High School. He obtained a Business degree from O.U. Herb served in the Navy as a Photo Reconnaissance Pilot. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base as an accountant.
Survivors include his wife: Frances “Fran” Nickell of the home. His daughter, Leslie Hudson and spouse Kevin of Lake Dallas, TX; son, David Musgrove and spouse, Fran of Highland Ranch, CO. Three grandchildren, Jade Nickol Hudson, Noah Musgrove, and Kate Musgrove, sister in law’s family: Shirlene and Olaf Seaton; niece, Shirley Harris and family: Dayton and Bailey Harris; niece: Sherri Hunt and family: Sam, Shawnie and Shane Hunt; Sister in law, Lora and spouse Albert Kobilan of Calhan, CO; cousins: Jimmy Harmon and Karen Steed; Uncle, Kenneth Harmon; cousins: Kenny Harmon and Jane “Vicki” Lavender; Uncle, Lester Robins of Texas; Uncle Robert Harmon of Bakersfield, CA
From Herb’s Uncle Kenneth: "We were close like brothers. He was closer to me than my older brothers. Herbie was our baby brother. Herbie meant a lot to Jimmy and me. Our family will miss him."
He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws Lorene and Shirley Johnston.
