James was a family man and enjoyed the time spent with family. He was a musician and could play just about any instrument he picked up but his specialty was the guitar and harmonica.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara Mae Petross; and sons: James Harrison Southworth and James Douglas Petross.
He is survived by sons: Justin Petross and Marshall Dewayne Petross; daughters: Cheryl Kay Hopper and Sondra Lynn Kokay; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, November 27, 2017 at Primrose Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Primrose Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.
