

Lula Jane (Davis) Jackson, a nurse of almost 60 years and resident of Norman, Oklahoma, died on September 7th, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born Hudie and Bertha Davis in Clio, Alabama in her grandparents home. She grew up in Walton County, Florida. She was a star student at Glendale Elementary and excelled at Walton County High School earning a scholarship to Sacred Heart Nursing School. After graduation from Sacred Heart, she worked as a nurse in Pensacola where she met and married her husband of 52 years, Ray Jackson. Jane worked as a nurse all around the world, traveling alongside her career Air Force husband Ray, while also raising a family. She was also an avid Square Dancer with her Husband all around the world.
Deeply family oriented, Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Jane used her knowledge and skills as a nurse to take care of her husband for many years even into her retirement. She will always be remembered as the loving matriarch of her family who loved everyone and kept everyone together.
She was preceded in death by Kimberley Ann Jackson (daughter), Ray Hal Jackson (husband), Hudie E. Davis (father) and Bertha G. Davis (mother). Lula Jane Jackson is survived by her son Michael Jackson and his wife Michele Jackson, her son Christopher Jackson and his wife Cheslea Jackson, grandchildren Philip Jackson, his wife Myra Jackson, Mathew Jackson, Mia Jackson and Greysen Jackson and great grandchildren, Lucus Jackson and Lucy Jackson.
A memorial service for Jane will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071.
