Linda Marie Beedle was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born on May 8, 1967, in Morristown, New Jersey, to Margaret and Jim Hill. She later moved to Arizona during her high school years. While in Arizona, Linda met Don Beedle while he was attending college. They married on December 14, 1991, and moved to Oklahoma the following year.
They shared a loving marriage of 34 years and raised three cherished children: Tim and his spouse, Aspen; Jessica and her spouse, Kourtney; and Kendra and her spouse, James. Linda also had five grandchildren whom she loved fiercely: Hudson, Paxton, Jaxon, Jordyn, and Wyatt. She was a wonderful sister to her siblings and the bestest friend to Kathy for 50 years.
Linda was widely known for her compassion, kindness, and dedication to serving others. She devoted much of her professional life to education, first running a home daycare and later working as a paraeducator at Kelley Elementary School for 15 years. Through her patience and genuine care, she positively influenced countless students and colleagues.
In addition to her professional service, Linda was deeply committed to the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Linda joined Rainbow at 12 years old. She served as Worthy Advisor and held several grand appointments. She received her Grand Cross of Color and held the office of Grand Recorder before her majority. Linda was reintroduced to the organization as an adult and became very involved with Moore Assembly after her daughters joined. She served on the Advisory Board. Unofficially, she was Assistant Mother Advisor for several years before being elected Mother Advisor in 2021. This year, she was selected to serve as Mother Advisor of the Memorial Team for Oklahoma Grand Assembly. Some of her fondest memories involve the activities she did with Rainbow. Her leadership, guidance, and devotion to the organization left a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of many young women.
Linda’s life was defined by service, compassion, humor, and unwavering love for others. Her legacy will continue through the many lives she touched, and she will be remembered with deep respect and affection by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and her aunt Nancy.
A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church of Moore on Friday, January 23rd at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls OKGA Charitable and Education Foundation, P.O.
