Ollie Gatewood

Mrs. Gatewood died Friday, October 19 in Norman.

She was born May 31, 1941, to Herman Kelley and Maeola Ray in Wagoner. She attended Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa. She was raised in the Wagoner and Tulsa area and raised her family in Bristow until she moved to Norman in 2004. She married Otis Ross Gatewood, Sr. on June 6, 1958.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis; her sons, Alvin Lee Gatewood and Melvin Ray Gatewood.

She is survived by two sons, Otis Ross Gatewood, Jr. and his wife Denise of Panama City, FL, Christopher Michael Gatewood and his wife, Christa of Norman; two daughters, Charlain Denise Gatewood and her husband, Burtchal of Idabell, Lisa Nadine Gatewood of Tulsa; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-granchildren; six brothers, eight sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the youth group at University Christian Church in Norman.
