

Friday November 6, 2020 brought to a close the wonderful 67 year life of Patricia Evedna Childs. Pat was surrounded by her family at her home when she left this earth and ran to the arms of her Lord and Savior. On January 11, 1953 Pat was born in Okmulgee Oklahoma the daughter of Evedna and Wayne Sprouse. She went on to graduate from Okmulgee High School in 1971 and in 1979 she met the love of her life David Childs while he was attending flight school in Tulsa. Pat and David were married on May 21, 1983 in Oklahoma City and from this union their two children were born; August and Austin. Pat will be remembered for having many passions which included her family, her love of traveling with her family on numerous vacations and several trips to the beach as well as her unwavering joy of being with her animals and tending to her many flowers. Pat felt a special bond with her animals and truly enjoyed spending time caring for them. While her animals were so special to her there was no one more treasured by Pat than her three grandchildren. Pat cherished painting with them, playing games, coloring, feeding the horses and simply being with them. Left to cherish the memories of Pat are her husband; David Childs, her daughter; August Kinder and her husband Chad along with their daughter Brooklyn all of Blanchard, her son; Austin Childs and his wife Jessie along with their son Aiden and their daughter Blakely all of Amber, two brothers; Rex Sprouse and his wife Yong of Okmulgee as well as Mike Sprouse and his wife Karen of Catoosa, her sister Sally Sprouse of Okmulgee, her best friend and someone who Pat thought of as a sister; Connie Snelson Reed of Okmulgee as well as her sister in law and brother in law Peggy and Don Oberfield of Tuttle. Pat in addition had many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members that cherish her love and memories.
At 1:00 pm on Wednesday the family and friends will gather for a Graveside Service at the Blanchard Cemetery. Following the graveside the family will be hosting a Celebration of Pat’s life at their home; The Good Life Ranch which will allow family and friends a time of fellowship and sharing your memories of Pat.
