Phyllis married Arthur Slone on January 7, 1962 in Welch, West Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Slone; sons, David Slone and Brian Slone; siblings, Betty Jett, Terry Jean Steele; grandchildren, Haley Slone, Amber Slone, Josh Slone, Tyler Slone, Dakota Slone, Ashley Slone, Jeff Steele, Rebecca Givens, Cassady Givens; great-grandchildren, Austin Smith, Ayden Burns; nieces, Donna Givens, Tina and Vicki; nephews, Tommy Jett, Donald Sloan, Douglas Sloan, Robert Sloan, Jr., Donnie Hanshaw, Kevin Hanshaw, Tim Hanshaw.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Francis Eloise, and step father Terry Steele, brothers, Donnis Hanshaw, Eddie Steele, Roy Steele, and sister, Rose Slone.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 4pm at the Primrose Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, Arthur has requested that donation be made in Phyllis’s name to a small church in the Philippines which they have grown to love.
