He was born February 13, 1946 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Berry Walden and Emma Jean (Staggs) Cox. On September 3, 1966 he married Bonnie Miller in Mobile, AL.
Ron worked for many years as a computer programmer. He loved photography and riding on his recumbent bicycle as well as listening to opera music and reading mystery novels.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie of 50 years; children: John (Sylvia) Cox of Breckenridge, CO, Eric Cox of Norman; grandson: Casey Jones Cox of Breckenridge, CO; sister: Diane (Eric) Hanson of Blanchard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother: Liesel.
A private family service will be held.
