

Thomas Naughton was born to Thomas and Emilienne (La Chance) Naughton, in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, on 17 December 1941. This amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend passed away at home in the early evening on 21 March 2023. He was proceeded in death by his parents; his sisters, Theresa Jean Studdard, Patricia Lois Roberts and her husband, Donald, and Carol Elizabeth Naughton Winders; his brother-in-law, Douglas Wayne Ainsworth, and his previous wives, Mary Frances Neal Naughton and Carol Ann Naughton.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Cynthia Naughton; son, Michael S. King, III and partner Tiffany Roland of Norman, OK; daughter, Michelle S. McMinn and husband Kyle of Mustang, OK; sister Mary Doreen Ainsworth of Henderson, NV; brother-in-law, E.R. Michael Burk II of Mauston, WI; nephews, Darrell and Damon Ainsworth; nieces, Elizabeth Baker, Christine Cox, Michelle Winders Johnston, Rebecca and Rachel Roberts, and Denise Schroeder; grandchildren, Aaron Andrew McMinn, Ezra Mae Roland and Desmond Paul Roland; several great nieces and nephews.
Thomas Naughton was a man of service. He proudly served his country with honor for over 20 years before he retired as a Tech Sergeant. He then went on to work in the US Postal Office before spending another 15 years with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, in Granite and Oklahoma City, as a records officer and personnel officer before retiring from State Service. He spent his spare time traveling, flea marketing, playing slot machines at casinos in many states, playing spider solitaire on his computer, and keeping up with politics 24/7. He is remembered by many as the “Candy Man.”

Family and friends are encouraged to help celebrate Tom’s life during a memorial service, with military honors, being held at 1400 hrs (2:00 pm) on Monday, 3 April 2023, at Primrose Funeral Service located at 1109 N. Porter Ave., Norman, OK 73071. This service will be live streamed, through Primrose Funeral Service, for those who are unable to attend in person.
