Timothy "Tim" Charles Baum

He was born May 1, 1946 to Joseph Charles and Rose Ellen (Gilreath) Baum. He met his loving wife Debra Henderson in 1976. They were married June 14, 1983 in Savannah, GA.

Tim was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and proud Sooner supporter. He was a special education teacher for almost 37 years. He taught in Greenville, SC and Dunbar Schools in Oklahoma City, OK for a year each and the remainder in the Norman Public Schools, at specialized facilities. He loved fishing, camping, spending time at the beach, cheering on the Saint Louis Cardinals and his beloved Jeff Gordon. But above all he loved spending time with his family and children.

Survivors include his wife of almost 40 years: Debra of Norman, children: Jefferson Charles Baum of Tulsa, Adrianne Lee Miller of Tulsa; grandson: Seth Coombes of Grove, OK ; siblings: Kathy Baum of San Diego, CA, Raymond M. Baum of Winona, MS, Stephen A. Baum and wife: Amy of Norman, Ruth Ann Baum of Norman; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Patrick Joseph Baum.

Visitation will be at 1:00pm followed by services at 2:00pm Service Saturday August 15, 2015 at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 N. Porter Ave. Norman, OK 73071. The Rev. Julie Conrady will officiate

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Special Olympics, Veteran Center or charity of Donor’s Choice.
