Tommy Lee McKee

In 1978, he married the love of his life, Patty Tomlinson Osleger. Together they made their home in Norman and built a life centered around their family. Tommy was the father of Johnny and Sherry. He also lovingly adopted Patty’s three children — Kathy, John, and Kristen — raising them as his own and always being there when it mattered.

Tommy retired as a supervisor for the City of Norman after many years of dedicated service. He believed in hard work, showing up, and doing things the right way. A quiet and reserved man, he wasn’t one to say a great deal, but his actions spoke clearly. His family always knew they could count on him.

He enjoyed OU football, hunting, and fishing, and he was a member of several bass clubs over the years. He especially valued time spent outdoors, rod and reel in hand, appreciating the calm and simplicity of the water.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Effie McKee; his sister, Joyce Garner; his brother, James McKee; his brother in-law Claude Force, and his daughter-in-law, Terri McKee.

He is survived by his wife, Patty McKee; his children, Johnny McKee, Sherry Ogee, Kathy Hixson and husband Rich, John McKee and wife Amy, and Kristen Claydon and husband Tommy; his 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; his brother, Bill McKee and wife Janel; and his sister, Peggy Force. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss their uncle and remember him in their own special ways.

Tommy will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his quiet nature, and his lifelong dedication to his family. Though reserved, his presence was steady and dependable, and he will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Primrose Funeral Service, 3901 N Flood Ave., Norman, OK 73069, US, on March 4, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with family receiving guests from 2-4. A Funeral Service will be held at Primrose Funeral Service, 3901 N Flood Ave., Norman, OK 73069, US, on March 5, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Final resting will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1198 S 8th St, Pauls Valley.
