Jo passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at her residence.
She was born March 26, 1925 in Guthrie, OK to Lester Martin Moore and Jessie Jane (Johnson) Moore. She moved to Norman with her parents when she was 3 years old.
She graduated from Norman High School in 1943. She then worked for the Douglas Aircraft Company in Oklahoma City.
Jo was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Wendell C. (Bud) Pruett on September 22, 1945. She was mainly a homemaker while Bud worked at the family business (Pruett’s Used Cars). Later in life, she worked as Social Director at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home in Norman, She was also a charter member of the Women of the Moose of the Norman Lodge. She volunteered at The American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Alameda Church of Christ.
Jo was a member of the first Women’s fast pitch softball team. After it disbanded, she took up golf.
She was preceded by her parents, her husband, four sisters, one brother and one grandson.
She is survived by her son, Randall C. Pruett of Tuttle; two grandchildren, Christopher Wayne Pruett, and Carla Jolene (Pruett) Kirkpatrick, both of Norman; four great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
