Wanda lived a life filled with faith, love, and strength. She was a devoted Christian who found great comfort in reading her Bible and listening to her favorite hymn, Amazing Grace. A lover of the color yellow and a light in the lives of those who knew her, Wanda was known for her kind heart and deep affection for her family.
She found immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always ready with a warm hug, a loving word, or a playful moment with the family dogs. Wanda had a unique gift for making those around her feel loved and valued. She shared her faith generously, teaching those close to her how to love Jesus through both words and actions.
Wanda was the heart and glue of her family, a source of strength and unconditional love. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy lives on in the lives she touched.
She was a longtime member of Robinson Street Baptist Church.
Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband and her parents. She is survived by her children: Lavon W. Young, Timothy W. Young, and Susan D. Decker; along with 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
