Delaney is survived by his mother Eleanor Katcheech; his father Adolphus Whitecap; his adopted father Clayton Night; his adopted son Jaycee Meechance; his grandfather Isadore/Geraldine Frenchman; his brothers Tipesikaw Katcheech, Conway Katcheech, Ronald Gardypie, Ryan Gardypie, and Ray Gardypie Sr; his sisters Tanya Katcheech, Sharon Katcheech, Natasha Katcheech, Holly Whitecap, Roxanne Gardypie, and Lindsey Gardypie; his uncles Eugene Johnston, and Jewel Frenchman; his aunties Denise Katcheech, Mavis Pampu, Linda Brown, Rosalie Frenchman, Cherish Frenchman, Heather Meechance, and Crystal Meechance; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Delaney was predeceased by his grandmothers Maryanne Katcheech, and Edna Whitecap; his grandfather Oliver Parenteau; his sisters Patricia Katcheech and Shelly Katcheech; his aunties Diane Gardypie, Emerald Frenchman, and Chasity Meechance; and his uncles Eric Katcheech and Isadore Johnston.
A funeral service for Delaney will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 at Saulteaux Band Hall, Saulteaux First Nation, SK.
Delaney will be laid to rest in Saulteaux Cemetery, Saulteaux First Nation, SK.
Serving as pallbearers are Eugene Johnston, Jewel Frenchman, Conway Katcheech, Ronald Gardypie, Ryan Gardypie and Ray Gardypie Sr.
