Elsie Ester Katie Brausse was born July 24th, 1923 in Leader, SK. She was the 8th from a family of 12. As a child she lived in various places in Saskatchewan. In 1940 she married her first husband, Henry Benkendorf. With Henry, she had three children, Barry, Bonnie and Murray. Elsie's second marriage was to Frank Davis and together they had two children, Gail and Randy. Elsie also considered the children from Frank's first marriage, Perry, Joy, Faye, and Clare, to be as dear to her as her own. Elsie's children blessed her with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and even five great-great-grandchildren. In her later years, Elsie married her third husband, George Tremayne.
In 1986 Elsie made a heartfelt dedication to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of His Witnesses. Elsie's faith was very important to her and she loved to share her faith and hope with others. Elsie held firm to the hope she had learned from the Bible, that even if she were to pass away, she would remain safe in Jehovah's memory until it was time for Him to resurrect her back to life here on earth which will be made into a paradise, free of all the things that cause suffering.
Elsie is predeceased by her father, mother, 6 brothers, 3 sisters; her husband George Tremayne; her son Murray Benkendorf; one grandchild Candace Waugh; her son in law George Lessner; and her step-daughter Clare Boisvert.
