I was so saddened and shocked to hear of Kathy’s passing. She was a friend and former co-worker.  We would often meet for supper after work. She loved to sit for hours in a restaurant visiting. 

When I retired, we kept in touch regularly and our tradition continued and we met for coffee, lunch or supper. I was so looking forward to chatting with Kathy after my winter away. But that was not to be.
Kathy was intelligent, kind and generous. She will be missed so very much.
My sincere condolences to Sasha and Kathy’s siblings and families. Rest in peace my friend. Til we meet again.

Kathy was my friend and former co-worker at the school board office. 

After my and her retirement we would meet regularly with other former co-workers for coffee and lunch.
Kathy always said what was on her mind which would always make  us all burst out laughing  at her outspokenness.  
Most of the time we would totally agree with what she had said but had never admitted it out loud. 
I loved her sense of humour and honestness. 

Kathy would often be found out shopping, not  for herself but for her extended family members-the little ones whom she truly loved.  Kathy was kind. 

Kathy always spoke of great pride of her son, Sasha.  Sasha was Kathy’s pride and joy. 
Kathy loved Sasha dearly. 

Kathy loved Christmas. 
 Always when our office signed up to adopt a family in need for Christmas, she would bring in piles of gifts for each child.  More than the rest of us. Everyone knew how much Kathy had enjoyed every minute shopping for them and how much thought she had put into each gift. 

About 15 years ago Kathy gave me a large Santa coffee mug for Christmas.  
It was the perfect size and shape. 
I have used this coffee mug every morning since then. In fact I am drinking my morning coffee out of it this very moment. 
I call it my Kathy mug. 
 When friends come over and see me drinking my coffee from a Santa mug even in the heat of summer, they often laugh and ask why I am using a Santa mug.  
I tell them that my friend, Kathy gave this mug to me and it is the simply the perfect size and shape.  

Kathy’s death was such a sudden loss to all of us. We were all left in total shock. In fact our friends and I had just made plans to meet for our monthly lunch that following Thursday. 
Kathy will be so missed by all of us. Our regular lunches will never be the same. There is an empty chair.  
Someone is missing. 

My heartfelt sympathies to Sasha and to Kathy’s siblings and families. 
Such a sad loss.

Kathy was wonderful to work with in our school division. Her knowledge she shared was very beneficial when working with students. I also enjoyed visiting with her in the community. She will be greatly missed. Prayers and condolences to Sasha and her family.

We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Kathy. She was dedicated to her job and the Light of Christ Catholic School Division. Kathy was a straight shooter, very professional, and always made sure her language was easily understood to parents. She will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. She was a very compassionate, intelligent, caring co-worker and friend. I enjoyed our visits and watching her light up at the thought of her small nieces/ nephews and the gifts she’d give them.  She gave a lot of herself to others.
