Réne Augustine Labbé

Réne is survived by his loving children: Debbie, David (Audrey), Laurie, Lynn, Dana, Larry, and Bryan; his stepchildren: Stella, Deanna, Linda, Marlene, and Debbie; brothers and sisters: Cecile (Don) Sorge, Lucy (Lou) Beatch, Alphonse (Joyce), William, Jacqueline (Norm) Kress; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife Agnes; his parents Edouard and Alexandrina Labbé; brothers John (Louise) Labbé and Lucien (Jackie) Labbé; stepdaughter Donna (Rob) Riviere.

Dad loved working in his garden and flower beds. He and Agnes loved their backyard and spent lots of days out back. He also loved playing cribbage, watching boxing, and his Leafs. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday January 23 from the Chapel of Sallows and McDonald Wilson and Zenher Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Bural will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday January 24 from the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Gerard Legaspi officiating. Interment will follow in the City of North Battleford Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in Rene’s memory may be made to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #70, directed to the Poppy Fund or the Building Fund, PO Box 777, North Battleford, SK S9A 2Y9.
