Shirley Baptiste

Shirley is dearly loved and remembered by her children Dale (Tracey) Baptiste, Charlene (Ben) Baptiste& Wanita (Dayton) Baptiste. Grandchildren Devon Baptiste, Nolan Chief, Casara, Aletha, Kara, Neishia, Brandon, Mozzy, Nadia, Sage, Mena, Halo, J.R., Wynona as well as her Chapons. Shirley also leaves behind her sister Bernice (Ernest) Baptiste, brothers Lindsay (aka Bill) Baptiste and Leslie Baptiste.

Shirley was predeceased by her parent Benajamin Baptiste - Antoine and Pearl Baptiste Sangery; son Utesin Baptiste, sisters Darlene Baptiste and Rosmarie Baptiste & brother Murray Baptiste.

A wake for Shirley will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Poundmaker Veterans Hall, Poundmaker Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM.

Serving as pallbearers are Kernon Checkosis, Jerry Chickeness, Justin Checkosis, Thomas Baptiste, Lorne Checkosis, Nicolas Baptiste and All those who shared in Sooniyaw's Life.
