She was born January 14, 1931 in Hornell, NY to the late Howard Howe and Ione Butler Hunt.
She was a former Study Hall Proctor and JV Cheerleader Coach at Stall High School, a past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile, a member in the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved watching the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susanne (David) Beard, of Goose Creek and Lisa (Bob) Capes, of North Myrtle Beach, two sons, James Raymond Dwyer, of Atlanta, and Michael Patrick Dwyer Jr., of Westerville, OH, two brothers, Frank Hunt and Wilbur Hunt, 10 grandchildren, Brandy Huneycutt, Ann Boney, Kenneth Dwyer, Chris Dwyer, Lindsey Carlson, Kayla Beard, Allison Beard, Scarlett Dwyer, Drake Dwyer, and Logan Dwyer, and five great-grandchildren, Caleb Huneycutt, Timothy Dwyer, Allyson Huneycutt, Julia Dwyer, and Addelyn Carlson.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband Michael Patrick Dwyer, Sr. a sister, Gene Tillman, and a brother, Bob Hunt.
The family will receive friends on Thursday May 17, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, in North Charleston.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:00 am, with burial following in Carolina Memorial Park.
