Remembering my dear friend Ms.Annie. I will always remember her kind words and love. Family know that she is resting comfortably with God.

Miss Anne will be sorely missed by her beautiful family. She was one of those quiet women, usually in the background, who made her children stronger just by her presence. Dear wonderful Davis family
I have known you all half of my life now and I have so many wonderful memories with Anne in it. I see her house in North Charleston, close to Remount Rd. where everybody was always welcome. When I first met Anne, she just gave me a big hug and showered me with love from the first moment on.  A good portion of this love was always given along with the wonderful food she cooked. And oh I had no idea about all these great Southern dishes,  nor had I heard of most of them before. But oh her cooking was really good and there was no way you were send home without filling some containers with her good homemade food, in case you did not have enough already :). 

When I lived in NYC and came to visit she even gave me a sack of handgrown big juicy tomatoes that I somehow managed to take back to NY -  she did not trust those New Yorkans to have decent food up there.
 
Anne was one of the most loving persons I have ever met and made me feel like being part of the family from the very first moment on. She was the center of you Tommy, Wendy, Wanda, Sylvia, Randy and Sharon and she had such a big heart for everyone. Thank you for sharing her with me over the years. I will miss her dearly and at the same time, I will always smile when thinking of her, because she really made a difference and left her marks here among us. And as tears are rolling down my face right now, I am sending you all a big hug and light a candle for her tonight. And my whole family knows, that Anne made the world's best peach cobbler. Sending my love to all of you, and a special hug to you, Sharon and Fred and Sarah and Leah

Dear Sharon and siblings,
Michael and I send you  our heartfelt condolences on Annie’s death. You can be very grateful that you had her for such a long time.
Her superb Southern cuisine will always be remembered when we were visiting long time ago. And peach cobbler will forever be related to Annie.

When I think of Momma, I can’t help but think of Momma Millie too! As the old saying goes”they were attached at the hip”. They were great traveling buddies. I remember the first time they came to see Tommy and I in Sarasota, Florida. We gave them very detailed directions, plenty of funds and expected to see them around 6pm. We finally got a call around 7 and they said they were tired and lost. They were just going to get a hotel for the night and come in tomorrow. 
Weelllll! We realized we had made a big mistake when they got there bright and early the next morning and told us they had great nights sleep and enjoyed their vacation. The hotel they were in was two blocks from us. That’s when I realize we had sent too many traveling funds. As usual, we all got a great laugh out of it! 
Ladies, enjoy heaven and your ultimate vacation together. Throughout eternity, Len

I will forever love you grandmama and cherish all of the memories we’ve made together like teaching me to make hush puppies that’s as soon as you put them in your mouth being hush was something that seemed impossible to because of how good they were you just had to tell everyone around “hey you tried grandmama hush puppies yet they are smackin!!”  But also she was a kind soul and would help anyone that needed it I will always love you and I know your in a better place now. love Caleb.

Ms. Annie was such a blessing to me.  I thought of her as my "second" mother as we nursed my own mother at The Bridge for almost a year.  She looked after and comforted Mom when I couldn't be there.   At times, we would share wonderful memories of our late husbands and  beautiful grandchildren.  Annie was such a kind and caring person. I will miss her and pray for her eternal peace with our Lord God in Heaven. My heartfelt love and prayers for her loving family🙏

I want you to know that Tom and I are thinking about how you must be feeling with the loss of your mom. I hope you know what a wonderful daughter you were. Unfortunately, I left you out of the list in the memory I sent earlier only because the cut and paste didn’t work. Please forgive me. Mrs Davis I miss you very much.  I remember when my sister Cathy and I moved to South Carolina. You were visiting at Mary and Randy’s house, we had just lost our mother a few months before.  We looked at each other and I missed my mom.  I went over and hugged you so tight and told you I loved you. You have always treated Cathy and I like family.
