Austin Taylor

Austin W. Taylor III ,94, of James Island, SC, husband of Frances Taylor entered into eternal rest October 19, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Austin was born August 22, 1922 in Pelzer, SC , a son of the late Austin Taylor Jr and Jessie Tripp Taylor. He proudly served his country in the US Navy in WW II, the Korean War and Vietnam. He is survived by his wife Frances Taylor, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the Church of The Nativity, 1061 Folly Rd., Charleston, SC 29412 (843)795-3821. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior at the church for the rosary, and the Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11. The Rite of Committal will be held at Carolina Memorial Park afterward at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Austin’s honor to: The Church of The Nativity Environmental Committee.
